Noah Education Holdings Limited is a leading provider of interactive education content in China. They announced on January 23rd that they will begin distributing it's first digital learning device, or DLD, to 14 middle schools throughout the Liaoning Province.

Mr. Dong Xu has been quoted saying, "The successful roll out of Noah's DLD incorporating graphic calculator technology is an important step forward in China's use of educational technology." Noah has plans to work with other provinces in China to help put more DLDs into the school systems.

This new educational technology is designed to help create effective visual demonstrations of complex mathematical concepts and questions. With China's population increasing everyday I would say that a solid education is going to be critical in this nation's development as a world power.

Educational Television Is Insane These Days

I remember the good old days when the craziest show on television for kids was Sesame Street. Kermit would do the news as chaos erupts all around him. A blood sucking vampire would count number after number and laugh upon reaching the final number. The there was the huge bird with his imaginary elephant hybrid creature-friend. Oh yeah, and Oscar the Grouch. He lived in the garbage and was a real jerk.

Nowadays we have Blue's Clues where a real man interacts with a cartoon world and receives his directions from an audience of screaming children. Honestly, how can a grown man NOT see where the clock on the wall is!? "It's on the wall," scream the children. Yikes.

Educational television used to rock. Sesame Street taught me all I ever needed to know to graduate from high school. Thinking about that now, I think that maybe the schools need to reform their system. Anyways, all I'm trying to say in this post is that Teletubbies is the work of the devil himself. Nintendo has it's eye on the prize this time.
