If you're ever worried about what your kids are watching on the television, it never hurts to do a little research on some educational cartoons to see which ones are of good quality and which ones are not. The programs on PBS are by far the best however. If your children are watching cartoons on PBS you can bet that they are excellent programs geared towards benefitting children.

If the cartoon is not about learning math, language, or science skills then you can bet that it is more geared towards being a good kid to parents and elders. Some of the morals that the cartoons teach are somewhat disputable, but you can guarantee that the program has a wider audience that they are trying to please.

There are a plethora of resources that you can use when you are researching for a paper or project. The library definitely has many non-fiction books, encyclopedias, magazines, and journals that you can get information from. But if you're a student at any college or university, you are bound to have access to a huge database of scientific journals and articles and educational journals.

These journals are a great resource especially when your teacher is nagging about finding this many specific resources to cite in your paper. Not only do they provide very useful information but they are pretty interesting to read sometimes and you get to learn new things. The database is also easily accessible enough and searching for a specific topic is as simple as looking up a word in the dictionary.

Educational goals

Sometimes it's good to have your educational goals set before you enter college, but anytime before that is just plain insanity. As a K-8th grade student, worrying about how your goals would affect your career at any level is just plain insanity. Everyone who's in college right now knows that those first eight years was a complete waste of time, other than learning the basics and how to study. But working so hard in those first years is pointless. High school is where keeping your grades up really matters if you want to get into a good university.

As for the educational goals during college, if you already know what you want to do, then you should be set. There's always room for changing your major in the off chance that you do change your mind. But in my opinion, it's better to go in as an undecided major to explore a little before finally coming to a final choice. In other words, you'd be just as much a flake as an indecisive child if you keep changing your major.

Sunday night is usually reserved for that family time that too many families need these days. With teenagers constantly running off and doing their own thing and parents that are work-a-holics, Sunday usually marks a good day to put everything aside and be with their families. But you might ask, "What exactly do you do on these family nights?" Here is your answer.

For families with older kids, there are many different kinds of educational board games, such as Pictionary, that they most definitely would find to be very fun and enjoyable to play. Taboo, Bang, Charades, Cranium, and other games like these promote the much needed brain stimulation that teenagers need as well as adults, and they are surprisingly entertaining. So if you're stuck next Sunday with no activities to do, you should go out, buy one of these games, and go at it!

The world of Sesame Street has long been a parent approved television show for their children to watch and learn many things from. Not only do the cute little puppets teach the basics of reading, spelling, and mathematics, they sing little tunes and many educational songs that children can learn as well.

Of course, every child's first educational song should be the most famous song all across our nation. Sung to the tune of 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star," "The Alphabet Song" is probably the song that most all of our citizens learned our ABC's from.
